Zi-Zi

He never grew very  much more than how big he is in this picture. Which is understandable since we recently celebrated his 1st birthday. Because of a disease that turns dogs inside's and intestines into mush, he had to be put down last night, before midnight. In a room full of sobbing people and hands all over his body, he was stuck with a needle that caused him to never be able to see another day, or lick another person, or wake me up in the morning.

I can't see to write-I'll write again later this week.

  1. Oh, I'm so sorry Katherine! Something very similar happened to one of our dogs... that is hard. :(

  2. Girl, I am so sorry. I should have come here earlier and given you my love. Forgive me.

I was very sad to hear about your loss. I've had to put two cats down because of diseases.

Saying "see ya later" to a pet is horrible, terrible, deeply deeply painful and absolutely heartbreaking. I have been there many times and it never gets easy. These are the only words I have.

The more we allow our animal friends into our hearts, the more it hurts when they are 'gone'. But that's as it should be. They are as important and precious and memorable as any of us.

Although I only knew him briefly, I am honored to have met him and will miss his sweet face.

~hugs and hugs and hugs and hugs for you sweet girl~
