Morning Meditations

So here I am, in the room adjoining the kitchen , where the dogs are having their breakfast/ morning free time. I have been fiddling around with thoughts and the computer (mostly the computer) and I decided to write a little post.
The snow is softly and slowly falling on the already 1inch layer of white fluff . The dogs are playing tug of war (when they should be eating), and the rest of the family is sleeping, except for dad who is at work. I am drinking some tea (its getting cold) and thinking of how I'd better finish up that letter today. I'm also thinking of how I feel tired, because I wasn't supposed to be up right now...Dogs gotta eat... And, though we don't really celebrate the secular New Year, i was thinking of how it is a kind of landmark in world history, because we've reached the first decade in the 21st century, and the year 2010 sounds like a scifi movie. I haven't been eating meat, and it hasn't been hard, except that I never get full, and yesterday Mom made the delicious fried chicken that was hard to resist, But just the thought of what I saw in the videos is enough to make me strong. And right now Mom is making turkey bacon. WHY DOES IT HAVE TO BE SO HARD!?!?!?! lol :) I'll talk to you all later. I hope everyone has a beautiful holiday!

  1. Haha I know what you mean about 2010 sounding like something out of scifi movie! It's so strange to be at the start of another decade... seems like just yesterday people were running around in 2000 plastic eyeglasses scared about Y2K! So weird to be living through my second turn of the decade...
    Blessings,
    Kate
